Salary: £62,500 (+ Bonus up to £5,500)

Shift: Panama - 2s and 3s (Days and Nights)

Location: London Gateway Port, Stanford-le-Hope

As a key member of the site engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of mobile plant equipment. Skills Required for the Mechanical Technician:

• Recognised mechanical qualification (Min NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3)
• Proven experience in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of mobile plant machinery (e.g. reach stackers, cranes, container handlers, forklifts)
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
• Competence in fault-finding and preventative maintenance on heavy mechanical systems

Duties of the Mechanical Technician:

• Perform mechanical maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of mobile plant machinery used in port and logistics operations
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults to ensure operational efficiency and minimise downtime
• Carry out preventative maintenance schedules and equipment inspections
• Support installation, overhaul, and modification of mechanical systems and components
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
