Salary: £36,400 - £40,400 per annum

About Us: We are a busy Distribution Centre based in Norwich, committed to providing a reliable and efficient service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team.

Role Overview: As a Transport Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading our distribution operations. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring efficient distribution that meets customer needs, optimizing resource use to minimize costs and maximize profits, and maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, you will occasionally deputize for the Depot Manager, handling both transport and distribution duties in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the distribution operation to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Utilize available resources effectively to reduce costs and enhance profitability.
• Adhere to all legal and regulatory guidelines in transport and distribution operations.
• Deputize for the Depot Manager as needed, managing transport and distribution tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of your shift.
• Capability to lift products weighing up to 15kg.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in delivery driving and team leadership or supervisory roles.
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.

Desirable Qualifications:

• IOSH Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Fire Marshall Certification
