Job Title: Extrusion Operator
Location: Bromborough, Merseyside
Salary: £30,100
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm training period, then 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights)
Job Role of the Extrusion Operator
An excellent opportunity has become available for an Extrusion Operator to join a global manufacturing business that supplies innovative packaging solutions to the food and pharmaceutical industries. You will be responsible for operating blown film extrusion machinery, monitoring product quality, maintaining production targets, and ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing processes across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Extrusion Operator

Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong commitment to health and safety procedures.
- Experience operating production machinery
Desirable Requirements for the Extrusion Operator

Previous extrusion, plastics, blown film, or recycling experience.

Experience within packaging, food, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing sectors.

FLT licence or other manufacturing qualifications would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities

Operate extrusion machinery safely and efficiently.
-
Monitor product quality and carry out testing in line with specifications.

Monitor output rates, utilisation, and scrap levels against production targets.

Operate and monitor recycling equipment on production lines.
-
Complete production documentation and input data accurately.
-
Report hazards and maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain housekeeping standards across extrusion lines.

Ensure effective communication and handover between shifts.
