Salary: £41,500 per annum

Shifts: Monday to Friday - Day Shifts Only

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer seeking a stable, days-based role with a strong and supportive team? We are recruiting for a hands-on engineer to join a busy and growing manufacturing site in Kempston.

The Role:

As part of the site engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring production machinery runs efficiently and downtime is minimised. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving and delivering high engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of equipment

   

• Respond quickly to breakdowns and diagnose faults effectively

   

• Support production teams to ensure minimal disruption to output

   

• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to site standards

   

• Assist with improvement projects and equipment upgrades

   

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing or FMCG

   

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills (multi-skilled preferred)

   

• Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)

   

• Self-motivated and able to work independently during day shifts
