Job Vacancy: Field Service Engineer - Generators 

Location: Mobile - Covering sites along the M25

Full-time | Permanent

Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE + Overtime + Company Van + Benefits

About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team, specialising in the maintenance, repair, and installation of diesel and gas generators. This mobile role will see you covering a range of commercial and industrial client sites along the M25 corridor, ensuring reliable power solutions for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, fault-find, and repair diesel/gas generators (typically 10kVA-1000kVA)

   

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency call-outs

   

• Diagnose engine, electrical, and control panel faults on-site

   

• Install and commission generator units and associated systems

   

• Ensure compliance with health & safety and company standards

   

• Provide excellent customer service and detailed job reporting

   

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience working on diesel or gas generators (FG Wilson, Perkins, Cummins, etc.)

   

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

   

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent

   

• Full UK driving licence (essential)

   

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

   

• Flexible for on-call rota and occasional overtime
