Commutable: Colchester ,Clacton-on-Sea, Harwich
Shift Pattern: 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am)
Salary: £43,500 + Excellent Benefits
The Role
An established, globally operating manufacturing business is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting a high-output production environment, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns on a wide range of industrial machinery. You will be working a days and nights shift, operating independently while closely supporting production teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery

Working on electrical and mechanical faults

Supporting continuous production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Working safely and efficiently to minimise downtime

Communicating effectively with production and engineering teams
Whats required for the Maintenance Engineer

Qualified Maintenance Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled)

Strong fault-finding ability (electrical or mechanical bias welcomed)

Experience in a manufacturing or factory-based environment

Comfortable working nights and operating independently

Good communication skills (essential)
